This three-part ensemble can be found in one of Berlin’s favoured and exciting residential areas, on the boundary between Kreuzberg and Neukölln, not far from Südstern and Hermannplatz, directly on the Hasenheide park. It offers lots of space for different lifestyles – from a comfortable one-room apartment to spaceous 4-room apartments even to townhouse-type maisonettes with separate entrance and private garden. Neighbourhood development

The former RIAS site at Britzer Damm in Neukölln, close to Britzer Schlosspark, will be developed with a contemporary district providing a harmonious mix of living, working and green recreational space. It is planned to split the site into two sections. Residential and commercial buildings will be constructed in the northern section, whilst the southern section will be laid out as green open space. The existing open space will be protected and integrated into the new complex as a natural recreation zone.

The residential units will comprise a large proportion of rent-controlled and disabled access apartments. The adjacent commercial space is intended to allow existing local companies room for growth but also create space for new companies.

Special features

The project is currently at an early stage in the local development plan process initiated by the local district office of Neukölln. When the development plan relating to the construction on the Britzer Damm site is finalised, residents and interested parties will be able to view further details on the project and participation opportunities in terms of design on the website below.

Similar to the project at Allee der Kosmonauten in Marzahn-Hellersdorf, this well-connected site on the corner of Landsberger Allee and Rhinstrasse in the district of Lichtenberg is being developed as a joint venture with Gewobag Wohnungsbau-Aktiengesellschaft Berlin. The plans for a mixed-use residential and commercial complex comprise 5 building sections extending up to 12 storeys.

Two different designs have been developed for this scheme and submitted to the local district office. The final decision as to which of the two designs will be developed is still awaited.

An attractive new residential quarter is under development in Berlin-Marzahn over the next few years, including rental apartments for young tenants, families and senior living, a children’s day nursery, a large park with playground, areas for retail space, services and restaurants and car parking spaces. The project is a joint venture between Gewobag Wohnungsbau-Aktiengesellschaft Berlin

Special features

The well-known Haus der Kosmonauten building will retain its commercial function and will be integrated into the overall complex. A striking new 16-storey centrepiece for the new residential quarter is under development at the corner of Allee der Kosmonauten and Marzahner Chaussee.
