Livos-Gruppe leases space in Rostock for Banksy exhibition

Berlin, July 21, 2025 – The Livos-Gruppe, a holder of light industrial assets and developer of residential real estate, has temporarily leased approximately 2,250 m² of space at its property on Richard-Wagner-Straße near Steintor in Rostock to the exhibition “BANKSY: A VANDAL TURNED IDOL.” The lease term is six months and began on July 1, 2025.

The space is located in the former printing facility of Ostsee-Zeitung (OZ). The exhibition, which has been open to the public since July 11, uses the industrial-style halls to bring international art to Rostock. With this lease, the Livos-Gruppe underscores its strategy of developing the ensemble into a versatile commercial district and creating new usage momentum.

“Countless stories have quite literally passed through the rooms of the former OZ printing facility. With the Banksy exhibition, another one is now being added — a very special one,” says Johann Kunz, managing director of the Livos-Gruppe.

The Livos-Gruppe worked closely on the lease with KÄHLER Real Estate Management GmbH, the property manager for this site. The transaction was brokered by Managing Director Ralf Schröder and his team.

In addition to Ostsee-Zeitung and other existing tenants, an additional lease agreement was signed at the beginning of the year with the food service operator MY Life Mittagslounge & Eventlocation. Since January 1, 2025, it has expanded the culinary offering for employees of the companies based at the site as well as for exhibition visitors.
